Description

Developed in collaboration with 2021 World Brewers Cup Champion Matt Winton, the Timemore VECTOR Coffee Dripper is a precision-engineered pour over brewer designed to maximise extraction clarity, flow control, and cup sweetness. Built as an evolution of Timemore’s Crystal Eye brewing platform, the VECTOR introduces an intricate internal geometry aimed at improving water movement and reducing uneven extraction during brewing.

Unlike traditional conical drippers that rely heavily on filter contact and rib structure alone, the VECTOR uses a carefully designed network of interior facets and flow channels to create balanced air circulation and controlled capillary action throughout the brew bed. The result is cleaner flow dynamics, more even saturation, and higher extraction potential with fewer pours.

Manufactured using high-precision stainless steel injection moulding, the VECTOR combines exceptional thermal stability with incredibly refined internal shaping that would be difficult to achieve through traditional manufacturing methods. Designed around Matt Winton’s approach to brewing — where consistency, flavour separation, and sweetness are prioritised — the VECTOR is built for brewers who want greater control and clarity from their pour over coffee.

What makes the VECTOR especially interesting is that it reflects Matt’s brewing style almost perfectly. His approach has always centred around pushing extraction higher while maintaining sweetness and transparency in the cup — something that’s much harder to achieve consistently than most people realise. A lot of brewers can produce intensity; very few can maintain clarity and structure at the same time.

The internal geometry of the VECTOR feels like a direct extension of that philosophy. Instead of simply creating another dripper with different ribs or a slightly altered cone angle, Timemore and Matt have focused heavily on how water and air actually move through the coffee bed during extraction. The result is a brewer that feels incredibly stable and forgiving while still producing a very articulate, high-clarity cup.

There’s also something refreshing about the fact this brewer doesn’t rely on gimmicks or extreme workflow changes. It still feels intuitive to use, but there’s obvious engineering depth behind it. Matt’s influence is clear in the balance between technical precision and real-world usability — something that has become a hallmark of his impact on specialty coffee globally.
