Origin & Producer
From the highlands of Arbegona, Sidama, this exceptional peaberry lot comes from the Duwancho Multi-Purpose Primary Cooperative, located in Duwancho Kebele at an impressive 2,200–2,400 MASL.
Cultivated from the renowned Ethiopian heirloom varieties 74110, 74112, and 74158, this coffee reflects the pristine microclimate and rich biodiversity of the region.
Processing
This lot is a Natural G1 Peaberry, carefully sun-dried to intensify sweetness and fruit clarity. The peaberry selection enhances density, resulting in a vibrant cup with heightened aromatics and a smooth, clean finish.
Tasting Notes
A sweet, expressive aroma of strawberry, peach, mango, and white florals.
On the palate, expect a juicy peach and strawberry core, complemented by layers of mango, and orange blossom.
Farm Info
The coffee is grown by smallholder farmers in Hechi Village, part of the Bensa district in Sidama — a region known for its high-altitude farmland (around 2,100 m). These farms nurture heirloom Sidama varieties under shade, using traditional agroforestry systems.
Because of the cooperative-driven model, farmers benefit from fair access to processing infrastructure, such as drying beds, and collective support for quality control. The natural processing method and high-altitude growing conditions help concentrate sweetness and clarity, delivering a delicately fruity but structured cup.
