Origin & Producer

From the forested highlands of Guji, Oromia, this exceptional lot comes from Kayon Mountain Farm, a renowned estate celebrated for its meticulous cultivation and clean, fruit-forward naturals. Sitting at an impressive 2,100 MASL, the farm benefits from rich volcanic soil, cool high-altitude air, and a thriving biodiversity that nurtures slow-developing cherries packed with sweetness.

Cultivated from Ethiopia’s cherished indigenous varieties 74110 and 74112, this coffee embodies the purity and complexity that Guji is famous for — vibrant, juicy, and aromatically expressive.

Processing

A Natural G1 lot, Kayon Mountain Farm employs careful cherry selection and controlled sun-drying on raised beds to intensify sweetness and enhance fruit clarity. The result is a clean, elegant natural that balances Ethiopia’s classic florals with deeper berry richness — a hallmark of Kayon’s quality-driven approach.

Tasting Notes

    • Dry Aroma: Blueberry, grape, peach, and tropical undertones.

    • In the Cup: A velvety blend of blueberry jam, purple grape, and ripe peach, unfolding into mango and a soft hint of bergamot. The finish is delicate yet distinctive, carrying a gentle frangipani floral note that lingers beautifully.

    • Overall: Rich, juicy, floral, and deeply sweet — a crowd-pleasing Ethiopian natural with standout clarity and elegance.
