Grown at elevations reaching 2,280 masl, the combination of high altitude, fertile soil, and Ethiopia's heirloom varieties creates a coffee that is vibrant, floral, and beautifully structured.

About This Coffee

Nestled in the highlands of Uraga, Guji, this coffee is produced by smallholder farmers who carefully cultivate heirloom coffee varieties on family-owned plots. The region's cool climate and high elevations allow cherries to mature slowly, developing greater sweetness and complexity before harvest.

Once picked at peak ripeness, the cherries are delivered to local washing stations, where they are meticulously sorted and processed. The result is a coffee that reflects both the unique terroir of Guji and the dedication of the farming communities behind it.

Process

This coffee undergoes the traditional Washed process, a method prized for highlighting clarity and origin character.

After harvesting, the coffee cherries are depulped and fermented to remove the mucilage before being thoroughly washed with clean water. The beans are then dried carefully on raised beds until they reach the ideal moisture content.

The washed process allows the coffee's intrinsic characteristics to shine, producing a cup that is clean, vibrant, and elegantly expressive.
