About This Coffee

Angus (Lion King) – Ethiopia Natural Guji is a coffee crowned by the sun of Ethiopia’s highlands. Named after Anbessa Niguši — “Lion King” in ancient Amharic — this coffee reflects both power and prestige, honoring Ethiopia’s untamed landscapes and its legendary heritage.

Grown at 2,100–2,300 meters in the Guji Zone of Oromia, these cherries are carefully selected from the Landrace 74 series. Using the traditional African raised-bed natural process, ripe cherries are sun-dried over nearly three weeks, allowing sugars and aromatics to penetrate deep into the bean. The result is a coffee with bold fruit character, full body, and layered complexity, every sip telling the story of its origin.

This is a coffee for those who want strength, elegance, and a taste of Ethiopian history in their cup.

Tasting Notes

Expect intense blueberry jam, strawberry, and ripe peach aromas on the first sip. The palate reveals purple grape candy, dried mango, and juicy peach, complemented by subtle bergamot, lemon peel, and orange blossom.

As the cup cools, the flavors deepen into a regal, lingering finish — bold, layered, and structured, reflecting the power and majesty of the Lion King itself.

Why You'll Like It

  • Bold and expressive: A cup that commands attention from the first sip.
  • Fruit-forward and complex: Bursting with berries, peach, and citrus notes.
  • Full-bodied and lingering: Flavors evolve gracefully, ending with elegant floral and citrus undertones.

This coffee is a taste of Ethiopia’s highlands, where sun, soil, and history combine to create something truly extraordinary.
